About Ambara Chittara
Ambara Chittara is a rural handicraft house established itself in the village of Heggodu, in Sagar Taluk.

Since 1999, that is for over a span of 15 years, it has expertise in producing and designing readymade clothes for women under the brand name “Ambara”. The production house is a composite unit that comprises Woodblock Printing, Tailoring and Hand embroidery. Majority of the workers involved in it are women.

Keeping the fact in mind that both woodblock printing and hand embroidery are the traditional artistic handicraft techniques of India, Ambara ventures to protect and nurture the tradition. Parellely it envisages to create job opportunities in rural regions.

The product of Ambara are unique in style & design. Woodblock printed designs on pure cotton cloth and hand – embroidering over & inside the designs distinguish the attires that ‘Ambara’ introduces into the market.

Earlier in the beginning, the market of ‘Ambara’ product was limited and were available at only outlets in Bangalore. Now, we have expanded ourselves and the ‘Ambara’ products are available in various shops, stalls during programmes.
